Frank Farian: * 18. Juli 1941 - † 23. Januar 2024

1961 gründete Frank Farian die Rock-Band Frankie und die Schatten. Sein erster Nummer-1-Hit folgte solo 1976 mit "Rocky". Etwas später gründete er Boney M. und fuhr mit der Disco-Band international Charterfolge und Nr-1-Hits ein. Ende der Achtziger kam dann der nächste Megaerfolg mit Milli Vanilli. Der Skandal war groß als 1989 aufflog, dass das Pop Duo nur Playback sang. Zuvor lieferte Milli Vanilli selbst in den USA drei Nummer-1-Hits in Folge. „Girl you know it’s true" hielt sich volle sechs Wochen in Deutschland auf der Spitzenposition.
